Add Text to a Photo

Sometimes a photo needs a few words on it: the date of an event, a price on a product shot for a marketplace, a team name on a group photo, a SOLD banner across a listing, or the plain word SAMPLE on a proof you are sending before payment. This page puts that text onto your picture and gives it back as a new file, leaving the original untouched.

You set what the text says, how big it is, its colour and font, how transparent it is, and where it goes: one of the corners, the centre, or tiled across the whole image for a watermark that cannot be cropped out. Size is relative to the photo, so a label set at a given size looks the same on a 1000 pixel image and a 6000 pixel one. Up to 50 photos can be stamped in one batch and downloaded together as a ZIP, and the drawing happens on your device, so unreleased client work is never uploaded.

It stamps your text at one of the preset positions, not in a free layout with drag-and-drop; for a second line somewhere else, run the saved result through again. For the classic top-and-bottom caption, the Meme Generator is quicker. And a small corner label is easy to crop away; if the point is protection, tile it at low opacity.
