Sometimes the only copy you have is too small: a logo pulled from an old email, a photo that must fill a slide, a picture that has to be printed larger than it was shot. This tool enlarges it 2 or 4 times and sharpens the result so edges stay defined.

It is worth being precise about what that means. The enlargement is done in several high-quality steps followed by sharpening. It is careful resampling, not an AI that invents detail. It makes a small image usable at a larger size with clean edges; it cannot recover a face that was four pixels wide. Graphics, screenshots and reasonably sharp photos benefit most.

The output is capped at 8000 pixels on the longest side, because beyond that a browser can run out of memory, especially on a phone. The work is done on your device and the image is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How does the upscaling work?
The image is enlarged in several high-quality steps and then sharpened so edges stay crisp. It is classic resampling, not an AI model: it will not invent detail that was never in the photo.
What's the maximum size?
Up to 8000px on the longest side, to keep your device's memory safe.
Should I choose 2x or 4x?
Use the smallest factor that reaches the size you need. 2x keeps the image looking most natural; 4x is for very small originals.
Will it fix a blurry photo?
It sharpens edges, which helps mild softness. A photo that is out of focus or motion-blurred stays blurred at a larger size.
