converted on your device — contracts and documents are never uploaded
ℹ️ Honest scope: text, headings, bold/italic, images (at their original resolution), page size and page breaks are rebuilt into an editable document. Tables and multi-column layouts come out as plain paragraphs, and charts drawn as vector shapes are not carried over yet — no converter rebuilds those perfectly, and the ones that claim to are guessing.
"PDF to Word" may be the most-searched converter on the internet, and it has the worst privacy profile of any of them: the PDFs people need to edit are contracts, CVs, medical reports, legal letters — documents that should never be uploaded to a free converter site with a vague privacy policy. Yet that's what every major converter requires, because they run the conversion on their servers.
This one doesn't. Your PDF is parsed entirely in your browser: the text is extracted with its positions, font sizes and styles and rebuilt into paragraphs and headings with bold and italic kept; the images embedded in the PDF — photos, logos, scanned signatures — are pulled out at their original resolution and placed back where they belong, sized as they were on the page; page size and page breaks are preserved. The result is a real .docx that opens in Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice.
And unlike the competition, we state the scope honestly on the page: tables and multi-column layouts come out as plain paragraphs, and charts drawn as vector shapes are not carried over yet. No converter rebuilds those perfectly — the ones that claim to are guessing, and you find out after the download.

Frequently asked questions
- Will the Word file look exactly like my PDF?
- Text, headings, bold/italic, images, page size and page breaks are kept, so a typical report, CV or letter comes out close to the original and fully editable. Tables and multi-column layouts come out as plain paragraphs, and charts drawn as vector shapes are not carried over yet. If you need pixel-perfect appearance rather than editable text, keep the PDF.
- Are the images kept?
- Yes. Photos, logos, stamps and scanned figures embedded in the PDF are extracted at their original resolution and placed at the right point in the text, sized as they were on the page. Decorative background fills are left out on purpose so they do not clutter the document.
- Why does my scanned PDF come out empty?
- Scans contain photos of text, not text. The tool detects this and points you to our Image to Text (OCR) tool, which reads scanned pages on your device too.
- Is it really safe for confidential documents?
- The PDF never leaves your computer — parsing and .docx generation both happen in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet before dropping the file and the conversion still works. The Word file we create carries no author or company metadata either.
- Does it work with Google Docs?
- Yes — the output is a standard .docx. Upload it to Drive and open with Docs, or open it in Word, LibreOffice or Pages.
