PDF to Word Offline — Works Without Internet, Free

Convert PDF to Word with no internet connection: open the page once, then it keeps working offline — on a plane, in the field or behind a locked-down network. 100% free, nothing to install.

converted on your device — contracts and documents are never uploaded

ℹ️ Honest scope: text, headings, bold/italic, images (at their original resolution), page size and page breaks are rebuilt into an editable document. Tables and multi-column layouts come out as plain paragraphs, and charts drawn as vector shapes are not carried over yet — no converter rebuilds those perfectly, and the ones that claim to are guessing.

"Offline" usually means installing a desktop program — a 300 MB download, an account, a trial that expires. This page is the other way to get there. Open it once while you are online and your browser keeps everything the converter needs (about 2 MB of code: the page, the PDF reader and the Word packer). From then on it works with the connection off: on a flight, at a site with no signal, on a corporate network that blocks file-sharing and converter sites, or simply when you would rather not depend on someone's server being up.

There is no trick behind it. The conversion never used the internet in the first place — the PDF is read and the .docx is written entirely on your device — so removing the connection changes nothing. The network was only ever used to deliver the page itself, and your browser caches that. If you install PixThru as an app (your browser offers "Install" or "Add to Home Screen" in the address bar or share menu), it even opens from your desktop or home screen like a regular program, still without an account.

The output is a standard .docx with the text, headings, bold and italic, embedded images at their original resolution, page size and page breaks. Tables and multi-column layouts are flattened to paragraphs, and vector charts are not carried over yet — the same honest limits as the online page, because it is the same converter.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make it work offline?
Visit this page once with a connection — that's it. Your browser stores the page and the converter's code. Later, with the connection off, open the same address (from a bookmark, your history or the installed app) and drop a PDF. If you never opened it while online, the browser has nothing cached and the page will not load.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Installing PixThru as an app is optional — it gives you an icon and a window without browser tabs. The conversion works exactly the same in a normal tab.
Is the offline version limited in some way?
No — it is the same code. There is no page limit, no watermark and no file-size cap other than your device's memory.
Will it keep working if the site changes?
Your browser refreshes the cached page the next time you are online, so you get updates automatically. Until then, the version you already have keeps working.
