✨Free AI Tools That Run On Your Device, Not In The Cloud
Transcribe speech, remove backgrounds, read text from images and enlarge photos — all running entirely in your browser.
Almost every "free AI tool" works the same way: your file goes to a server, a model processes it, and you get credits that run out. The file is now on infrastructure you do not control, which is a poor trade for a meeting recording or a photo of a document.
The AI models below run inside your browser. Whisper, OpenAI's speech model, transcribes audio locally; a segmentation model removes image backgrounds; Tesseract reads text out of pictures. The models download once, cache, and then work even with the internet disconnected. The honest cost of this approach: the first run downloads a model (40MB to 250MB depending on the quality you pick) and your own hardware does the computing, so it is slower than a datacenter. In exchange there are no credits, no accounts, and nothing to trust us about — you can watch the network tab and see that nothing leaves.
Questions
- How can AI run without a server?
- Modern browsers can execute the same model formats a server uses, through WebAssembly and WebGPU. The model file is downloaded once and then runs on your processor or graphics card.
- Is it as accurate as paid cloud services?
- Close, not identical. Cloud services run much larger models. Our transcriber offers three model sizes so you can trade time for accuracy, and we recommend the largest one for anything that matters.
- Do I need a powerful computer?
- A recent laptop or desktop handles everything comfortably. Phones work for the lighter tools; long transcriptions are better done on a computer.
