Before you share a screenshot or a photo there is often something in it that should not travel: a face, a licence plate, an address, an account number, a name in a chat. Drag a box over each part and choose how to hide it: pixelate or a solid black bar.
What matters is what happens to the file. In the image you download, the covered areas are destroyed, replaced by the blocks or the black. They are not a layer sitting on top that someone can lift off, which is the mistake that has exposed "redacted" documents many times. For text such as numbers, names and addresses, the solid bar is the safer choice: a coarse pixelation of printed text can sometimes be guessed back, a black rectangle cannot.
