CamScanner became the default scanner app by being good at one thing, and then it became expensive and nosy: documents go to its servers, free exports carry a watermark, and the useful features sit behind a subscription. If you need the core job, a photo of a page turned into a straight, clean PDF, this page does it with none of that. There is no account, no watermark, no page cap, and the processing happens in your browser, so the contract, passport or payslip you scan is not sent anywhere.
The workflow mirrors a scanner app. Drop the photo, drag the four corner markers onto the edges of the paper, and the perspective is corrected so the page becomes a true rectangle. Then pick the output: colour, greyscale, or the black-and-white scan look that gives crisp text on white. Several photos become one multi-page PDF.
What this is not, so you can decide honestly: it does not detect the page edges by itself, so you place the four corners. It does not keep a cloud library of your scans, sync between devices or run OCR on its own; the Image to Text tool on this site handles the last of those. For a daily stack of invoices an app with auto-capture is faster. For a handful of sensitive pages a month, this is the private route.
