Text to SVG Generator
Convert text in any font to clean, downloadable SVG vector paths — free.
A wordmark, a headline or a slogan has to look exactly right everywhere, and font files are the weak link: the client does not have the font, a website would load a whole font file for six letters, and cutter software often does not understand text at all. Outlining the letters as SVG paths cuts that dependency out. The shapes are the letters, so they render identically in every browser, every design app and every cutting machine.
Type the text, choose one of the display fonts on offer, and take the SVG either as a download or as code to paste. In Figma or Illustrator the paths arrive as editable vectors. In HTML or JSX the same code goes inline, which is how many sites ship a logo without a web font. For Cricut, Silhouette and CNC work, the outlines import directly as cut lines. The conversion runs in your browser; nothing is sent anywhere.
The fonts are a curated set, so a specific corporate typeface will not be in it. Once converted, the words are shapes: they cannot be retyped to fix a typo, screen readers and search engines do not see them, and body copy converted this way makes a large file. Use it for a few words that matter, and give the SVG a title when it goes on a web page.

Frequently asked questions
- Why turn text into SVG paths?
- Outlined text looks pixel-identical on every device without embedding or licensing the font, and it scales infinitely — ideal for logos, icons and headings.
- Can I edit the result?
- Yes — the output is standard vector paths you can open and reshape in any design tool, or paste as inline SVG code.
- Can I use the SVG with a Cricut or Silhouette machine?
- Yes. The letters are plain vector outlines, which cutting software reads as cut lines. With script fonts whose letters overlap, weld or unite the shapes in the cutter's software so it cuts one continuous piece.
- Does the SVG contain or require the font file?
- Neither. The output holds only the outlines of the letters you typed, so nothing needs installing on the receiving end. For a few words the file is small; it grows with every extra character.
