In Pakistan a passport-size photo is required for far more than a passport. NADRA's Pak-Identity portal asks for one when you apply for or renew a CNIC, NICOP or POC from abroad, the online passport renewal service takes a digital upload, and offline life demands a stack of them: university and exam forms, bank accounts, job applications and school admissions.
