Turkey's biometric photo is bigger than the one most of the world uses. Passports, identity cards, driving licences, residence permits and many visa applications call for a 50 by 60 millimetre print on a plain white background, with the face straight to the camera, mouth closed, eyes open and no shadows. A photo prepared for a 35 by 45 form is rejected, and most generic tools do not offer the size. This page is preset to the Turkish format.

Photograph yourself against any plain wall in daylight and drop the picture in; an AI model lifts you off the background, sets you on white and scales the result to 50 by 60 at print resolution. You receive the digital file for an online application and a print sheet with two copies on a single standard photo print, at the usual single-print price. The model is fetched by your browser once, with a progress bar; from then on each photo is handled on your device and is never uploaded.

Turkish authorities expect a recent photo, generally taken within the last six months. The tool sets size and background; it cannot straighten a tilted head or remove a smile, so shoot several frames in daylight and use the most neutral one. Confirm current rules with the issuing office, since they do change.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the Turkey photo 50×60mm?
It's Turkey's national biometric standard, larger than the common 35×45mm. Using the correct size is important for passport, visa and residence-permit applications.
Is this the right size for a residence permit (ikamet)?
Turkish residence-permit applications generally use the same 50×60mm biometric photo. Always confirm the current requirement for your specific application.
How recent does the photo have to be?
Turkish rules generally require a biometric photo taken within the last six months, and officials compare it with your face at the counter. Take a fresh photo rather than reusing one from an old document.
Can I smile in a biometric photo?
No. Biometric standards, Turkey's included, ask for a neutral expression with the mouth closed, eyes open and looking directly at the lens. A smile or tilted head is a common reason for rejection.
